Musings on Marketing, Adventure, Culture & Creativity

A cross between a personal journal and  professional lessons learned, this is a little space to talk about the good stuff.

Salt 'n Peppa (Shakers)

Falling in love at first sight: it doesn't happen too often. Even more rarely does it occur with salt and pepper shakers. Long regarded as the most underrated tool in the kitchen, by me, I like that these take the center stage they rightfully earned. The pizza cutter is another strange and wonderful one - it's a circular knife, for crying out loud! Again, neither here nor there. Which brings us back to something most definitely here and happy for it:

Made by the lovely artist Colourbox, and sold online at Colourbox Boutique, these shakers are painted lovingly by hand.

As with all love stories great and small, there is a twist: they're sold out.

Still, there are some other gorgeous porcelain pieces, as well as prints and such, that would certainly brighten up your day and life. I always like things that make me feel as if I'm living in a kind of wonky Quentin Blake (of Roald Dahl story fame) illustration, and all of Colourbox Boutique's things make me feel like that. They're a British company, so you may have trouble sourcing state-side as it costs a little more to get it here.

As an aside, it's a kind of interesting twist on British porcelains - might be a denser article buried in that idea, but I'll sit on it for a minute. Let it mull like the wine you're hopefully enjoying on this snowy night.

Here's to a colorful Tuesday.
